The Federal University of Mato Grosso Foundation is an authentic autonomous university, dedicated to human and professional training. The Federal university of Mato Grosso Foundation, instituted by Law No. 5,647 of December 10, 1970, is a non-profit legal entity. It is made up of professors, as well as undergraduate and graduate students dedicated to research, teaching, as well as the dissemination, extension and social projection of knowledge and culture, and the production of goods and provision of services. Its headquarters are in the city of Cuiaba-MT and its duration is indefinite. The Single Text of the Statue of the Federal University of Mato Grosso Foundation, was approved by the Federal Council of Education – Higher Education Chamber on October 21, 1971. The Rector exercises his legal personality in accordance with the provisions of article 13 of the law no.8,112/1990, which was appointed by the Term of Office issued by the Minister of State for Education, Milton Ribeiro, on October 15, 2020, for the period of 4(four years).
