The Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia, founded in 1953, is a university entity, autonomous, of national, state, public and democratic character, specially regulated, which is linked to the National Ministry of Education as it relates to the policies and planning of the educational sector. High quality accreditation through Resolution 6963 of 2010 and institutional accreditation in multiple sectional branches (Tunja, Chiquinquirá, Sogamoso and Duitama), Our academic offer is, more than 60 undergraduate programs and more than 100 postgraduate programs between specializations, masters and doctorates distributed in 11 faculties, with a student population of more than 30,000 students.The Institutional Development Plan of the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia - UPTC, identifies one of its priorities as the creation of social ties with the world through its advances in internationalization and local processes. This is accomplished by having a strong will and adding the efforts from being a part of and understanding the contexts in which it can and must act. The strengthening of ties allows the university to approach specific populations and provide care or make collaborative and solidarity efforts to respond to the specific demands of the population in response to its social mission and institutional commitment to society.
