Zhiwei Ji

  Zhiwei Ji is currently a professor with the college of Artificial Intelligence, Nanjing Agricultural University (NJAU), China. He is currently the director of center for data science and intelligent computing at NJAU. Prior to this position, he was assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He has been working on Systems biology, Bioinformatics, Pattern recognition, Big data analysis and modeling for more than ten years. He authored or co-authored more than 50 referred papers published in the world-renowned academic journals, such as IEEE Trans on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE/ACM Trans on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Knowledge-based Systems, Information Sciences, PLoS Computational Biology, Transboundary and Emerging Diseases, and Frontiers in Plant Science, etc. Currently, Ji's group focuses on systems biology research on virus-host interactions, including animal coronaviruses, influenza viruses, and plant pathogens.
