Arturo Jauretche National University is a relatively new university in the prestigious Argentine university system. UNAJ is organized as an educational institution that synergistically articulates existing university strengths in pursuit of the development of a territory with complex and diversify reality. It is located in city of Florencio Varela, in the southern region of Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area. Its mission is to make the University a tool for social transformation and equitable access to education as a fundamental human right.
Beginning in 2011, it has reached more than 30 thousand students in 2020. It has three institutes: Institute of Health Sciences; Institute of Engineering and Agronomy; and Institute of Social Sciences and Administration. Currently, the educational offering is made up of 18 undergraduate, 5 undergraduate, and 10 graduate degrees. It’s important to highlighted its articulation with the National and local government for the development of academic, teaching and research initiatives, as well as university extension. The internationalization of the university is a key challenge for the insertion of the UNAJ community in a global environment. Since its creation, in addition to the traditional partners of Argentine university cooperation, UNAJ has bet on the diversification of ties, mainly with a focus on the different countries of Latin America, Asia and Central Europe.
