On November 15, Martha Bohrer Adaime, Vice President of the Federal University of Santa María in Brazil visited SCAU. Vice President Qiu Rongliang of SCAU received the guests and held a discussion.

Qiu Rongliang introduced SCAU’s achievements in agricultural science and technology innovation. He said that the university has always been committed to promoting the development of agricultural science and technology, making positive contributions to the sustainable development of my country's agriculture. Martha Bohrer Adaime said that the Federal University of Santa María in Brazil has rich research experience and an excellent scientific research team in the agricultural field, and hoped to leverage the advantages of both parties to jointly promote the development of agricultural science and technology. The two sides had extensive and in-depth discussions on China-Brazil agricultural technology innovation, scientific research cooperation, talent training ,especially more exchanges on plant protection, biological prevention and control, food safety.

It is reported that in June this year, SCAU delegation visited Santa María and  signed an agreement to jointly build the China-Pakistan Biological Prevention and Control Joint Laboratory. In the future the two parties will jointly explore cooperative research in the fields of talent training and biological prevention and control, and make greater contributions to the development of agricultural science in both countries.
